After dinner the two of them were walking back. Maylin smiled and latched onto Shin'ichi's arm snuggling onto him. "That food sure was good." Said Maylin with a smile as she hung on Shin'ichi.

Shin'ichi glanced back at Maylin. She was awful clingy. "Yes, it was, wasn't it?" He murmured as they moved along. Deciding it wouldn't hurt, he adjusted and pulled Maylin closer, wrapping his arm around her close.

Maylin blushed and looked up at Shin'ichi. Pulling away she smiled and said, "You probably want to walk me home but I have things to tend to before I head back. So I suppose we split here. Oh and I have something for you. Making Shin'ichi bend down Maylin kissed him on the lips for a moment and pulled away saying, "Thanks for joining me tonight. See you tomorrow." She then left and disappeared.

Shin'ichi did want to walk Maylin home, as it was the gentleman's thing to do. Curious as to what she had for him as she forced him to bend over, then steal a kiss from his lips, he blushed some but quickly regained his composure. He sighed and continued down the street alone, hands stuffed in his pockets. It wasn't long before he returned to the office.

"Well well look whose back." Said Solomon with a big smile. "So how'd it go?" Asked Jade appearing. He had a big curious grin on his face. Judging by Shin'ichi's red face I say it went well." Said Solomon with a laugh.

Just then the door swung open fast and Maylin came running in her clothing ripped as she looked scared. "Whoa what happened!?" Asked Jade. "I was attacked! I didn't see who since it was so dark but whoever they were they tried to kill me!" Wailed Maylin loudly as she fell to her knees shaking.

Shin'ichi heard the commotion outside his office door. He grumbled and downed another cup of tea, rising and going over to find out what the deal was. He was about to yell at them to keep it down when he saw the state Maylin was in, and ran over to her. "What the hell happened?!" He asked, clearly concerned as he brought Maylin to her feet and held her close.

Maylin clung to Shin'ichi sobbing loudly as she trembled. "She was attacked. "Maylin I want you to take us back to where you got attacked. We'll figure this out." Said Solomon standing up. Maylin nodded and clutched Shin'ichi's hand tightly as they left the squad office. Trembling scared still she stopped in a secluded area and said, "It was here. Solomon looked around and so did Jade. "Why were you here anyway?" Asked Jade. "I was just passing through!" Whimpered Maylin clinging onto Shin'ichi.

Shin'ichi frowned. More attacks? This was not good. "The last thing we need is murders on our hands again. Maybe this is connected to Azerith and his escape, maybe not. Whatever it is, I have orders for my squad. NEVER walk without a partner at night, or at any time of day coming and going from the squad HQ." He decided.

Shin'ichi had a home, relatively comfortable and surprisingly simple for being a Captain's. He didn't need much for his home regardless, seeing as he spent most time at the office anyway. "You're not a burden, I promise. Just a run of the mill bad luck." He nodded.

Smiling Maylin jumped up and kissed Shin'ichi saying, "Thanks for letting me stay." Settling herself on the Sofa Maylin smiled and said, "Oh nice and comfy. I'll sleep well tonight." She smiled at Shin'ichi.

Shin'ichi smiled back innocently, as if he would mean nothing by it. "Well, there's always my bed." He trailed off and rubbed the back of his head. He didn't have anything funny on his mind, just trying to be a gentleman, but he knew the oddness of suggesting such a thing.
